During reception the children follow the Early Years Foundation stage curriculum, which is very different to the national curriculum. In moving to year 1 the children will embark on the National Curriculum (2014) and will move to a new assessment system as well.

This meeting will provide parents with the appropriate information to support their child with the transition from reception to year 1.

Information from the meeting will be made available both on the website and via parentmail after the session and I will be available throughout the Open Afternoon for any additional questions.
