Updates from Mrs Norden

As we move towards the end of term, we have had another busy week for the school, and our community, which has been filled with both joy and sorrow. 

Our wonderful Christmas performances and Carol concert, were enjoyed by performers and audience alike, and brought the festive season into focus in amongst the complexities of Covid decision-making. 

Whilst in deep sadness, staff and families have also been reflecting on fond memories, as a past pupil was laid to rest having passed away in a tragic accident all too young.  

These moments, make us realise that it is so important to cherish the things that truly matter and to enjoy them fully.

Love in a box - Thank you to those who donated boxes for the 'Love in a Box' campaign these have now all been delivered safely, and your contributions have been very welcomed. 

Covid Update

A review of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough's Covid cases has brought about an extension to the  'Enhanced Response Area' measures until 24th December.  In line with this, as explained in an email earlier this week to parents and carers, all additional measures we have put in place will remain until the end of term.

Admin Updates:

1. Christmas Lunch - please remember to book your child/ren for a school meal if they would like Christmas dinner next week. Wednesday will be for Preschool, Reception and Key Stage 1, Thursday for Key Stage 2. On the day your child is not having Christmas dinner the ONLY option will be for a school packed lunch.

2. Household Support Fund and the Christmas Holidays - please click here to read the letter from the local authority detailing the Household Support Fund which helps vulnerable families over the winter months.

3. Message from the guitar teacher: Our resident guitar teacher, Mr Cory, may now have some available slots for this school term. If your child is interested in learning the guitar, please contact Mr Cory via email at jimmypagefans@hotmail.com. Please include:- pupils name, parent/guardian name, school name, class teachers name for 21/22 term, lesson duration requirements (15mins (£8.25) or 30mins (£16.50) & mobile phone number. Please book early to avoid disappointment. Please note if you have already been added to my waiting list, you will be the first to be offered any spaces that become available.

4. Clubs and Events: Don't forget to check out the' Clubs and Events' pages on the website which have a link below - new information is regularly added.  This week it includes junior rugby at St Ives Rugby Club
