Children in Need @ Swavesey
On Friday 14th November, our school council worked together to plan how we as a school would be joining in with fundraising and supporting Children in Need. Although the rain was torrential, we were still able to come together as a school to celebrate and enjoy lots of fun activities planned by the children on the council. Whether it was wearing non-school uniform, having special lessons or joining in with Joe Wick's live lesson, all the children were able to do something special to take part in.
Thank you for all the generous contributions brought in to help fundraise for the charity. We know the money raised will make a real difference.
The school council also planned and ran a Teachers vs. Children obstacle course in the school hall. All the children had a go at running the course and seeing if they could beat some of the times of the teachers. One of our year 6 pupils said:
" I think it was really fun to be able to leave class and do an obstacle course! The council were very enthusiastic and engaging and worked really hard to help the course run well.
Personally, the best part was the tunnel that you had to crawl through, but the whole thing was very exciting.
We are really grateful for the council setting everything up and we had a fantastic time! Thank you!"
