On Tuesday 2nd June, ex World BMX Champion, Mike Mullen, returned to Swavesey to run a BMX workshop for Year 5s.

The BMX bikes were provided and, despite the on / off rain showers, the children were able to safely challenge themselves to try out lots of tricks and skills on the bikes, using ramps too!

The children all had a great experience, becoming more confident during their sessions. Mike selected a group of children, which he said was extremely difficult this year as everybody was really confident in their ability, to take part in the showcase finale, in front of the whole school.

Mike ended the day with his traditional leap, from a ramp, over a group of four teachers! It was a brilliant day, and we hope to welcome Mike back next year too...
