Plenty of fun at the Panathlon!

Lots of great teamwork playing 'BOCCIA' at the Penathlon!

On Thursday 25th January 8 KS2 pupils took part in a SCSSP ‘PANATHLON’ event at Comberton VC.

The Penathlon is a multiskilled event for primary aged children, to challenge skills in throwing, accuracy, and teamwork. The whole team showed great sportsmanship and team skills and were a real credit to our school!

The team finished in a very respectable 4th place out of 8. The children were thrilled, especially as they all received a cool medal for their hard work!

Here are some of their thoughts after the event:

Ferdinand: It was fabulous! I enjoyed the long jump and the kurling best.

Jacob: My favourite activity was dribbling the big tennis ball around the cones. It was really good fun!

Jasmine: I loved bowling, where we had to knock the skittles down. It was fun and I had a really good time!

Noah: My favourite part was the jumping event and coming in 4th place! Last time we came in 5th place, so we have done even better this time!

Charlie: I liked all the games, and I liked getting my medal for 4th place!

Louie: It was good because there were lots of different games which were all really good fun! My favourite one was the last game, where we had to dribble a HUGE tennis ball around with a tennis racket!

Jeevan: I had lots of fun! Throwing beanbags at the numbers.

Ruth: I absolutely LOVED every minute of it!! I loved ALL the games.

Thank you to Miss McAuley, Mrs Parkes and Mrs Allen for attending and supporting the children.
