Equality and Diversity

Our school is committed to actively promoting, and protecting, equality and diversity, both within and beyond the classroom through commitment to our school values and aims.

As part of this we uphold and develop the principles of British values to ensure our children leave us fully prepared for life in modern Britain.  You can access our British Value Statement, which supports our values and aims, here.

In our Equality and Diversity Policy (which you can find below), the school explains its committment to promoting the welfare and equality of all its staff, pupils and other members of the school community.  Through this we set ourselves deevlopment objectives every four years, which can be found below, as well as within our policy.  Review information will be uploaded here at the end of the summer term 2024.

Our equality development objectives for 2020 to 2024 are:

 • To promote cultural development and understanding through a rich range of experience, both in and beyond the school

• To ensure the school environment is as accessible as possible to all pupils, staff and visitors ensuring actions from our accessibility plan are carried out.

• To actively close gaps in attainment and achievement between pupils and all groups of pupils; especially students eligible for free-school meals (Including Ever6), students with special educational needs and disabilities and looked after children

• To review levels of parental and pupil engagement in learning and school life, across all activities to ensure equity and fairness in access and engagement.
