On Friday 1st July, SGT was back - live!
On Tuesday 28th June, some of year 3/4 were lucky enough to take part in SCSSP's Dynamo Cricket Tournament! We played incredibly well and were resilient throughout, despite aspects of the game being new to us. Thank you to those involved in organising the event, we had a fantastic day!
Last week Year 1 and 2 went on an exciting visit to Rosegate Farm. You can read some of our recounts below and have a look at some photos from the visit here.
On Tuesday 21st June Year 4 took part in the SCSSP Mini Olympics. Whilst the event was 'in school' for another year, the SCSSP provided activities and virtual instructions and encouragement to all Year 4 groups taking part. The day started with all the Year 4s and the supporting Yr6 Sports Leaders learning a and performing a dance.
Swavesey Red and Blue Teams come second in both their leagues.
After three years away, Swavesey were finally able to make their annual year six pilgrimage to PGL again - and what a week it was!
Children in year 5 have worked extremely hard to develop their road safety this week. Thank you to Outspoken! training for supporting our children.
Empathy Day – 9th June
This week we have been exploring the theme of empathy, our human super-power. We have been practising walking in someone else’s shoes.
Across the school we have used literature, including poetry and stories, to teach empathy and help us understand others’ emotions and feelings and make us think about how we react in different situations.

We started our Jubilee celebrations wit a whole school street party. It was wonderful to have everyone together for a special event for the first time in a long time - and fun was had by all!
