West Stow Anglo Saxon Village - Years 3 and 4

Years 3 and 4 had a wonderful day visiting the Anglo Saxon settlement in Suffolk on Wednesday.
The highlight of the day was exploring the unique designs of the Saxon houses, looking at the features of the sunken feature buildings and everyday objects found inside.
We all became historians for the day, examining artefacts, asking and answering questions based upon the evidence found.
It was a great day out and we built upon our Saxon knowledge and understanding.
We even had time for a quick play at the adventure playground!
‘It was an amazing day and one of the best school trips I’ve been on!’ Thomas
‘I loved trying on the Anglo Saxon clothing!’ Ines
‘My favourite part was exploring the houses and the settlement.’ Prisha
‘I really enjoyed looking at the carvings around the doors of each house.’ Grayson
‘My favourite time was having lunch!’ Maylin
