Year 5 / 6 Dodgeball Festival 2025

Lots of happy faces at a super fun event!
On Tuesday 14th October, ten Year 5 / 6 children attended a SCSSP 'Dodgeball Festival', at Norhstowe Secondary School.
The team were a little nervous, but also very excited about representing the school, some for the first time! Throughout the morning, the children took part in various dodgeball themed games, as well as some dodgeball matches.
Here are some quotes from the children about their experience:
Noah C: I went last year and it was good, but this year I found it even better! My favourite part was playing the matches, as it was fun. I'm really good at dodging and throwing and I even got a catch!
Joseph N: My favourite part was the matches against other schools! I think I learnt more skills at dodgeball and want to play more.
William D: I liked getting to play the matches, it was awesome!
Oscar W: My favourite thing were the matches against other schools as I'm REALLY good at dodging!
Avery:Our last match was my favourite. It was competitive in a fun way and my last catch won the game! I hope to go again next year!
Esme: My favourite part was a game where we knock a beach ball to the other team!
Noah W-P: My favourite part was playing the matches. I learnt that communication was key to winning, and passing was more important than taking shots!
Kelsea: I loved the games and getting to throw the balls! I really want to do more dodgeball, as I think I was getting better and better as I played.
Zoe U: I liked all the extra activities! We had one where you had to hit a beach ball to the other side. It was fun!
Holly G: I was nervous before I went, as I didnt know what we would be doing. I loved all of the activities and I think I'm better at throwing and catching than I thought! I'm happy and glad I went.
